PA Right to Know Law PA Office of Open Records Scott Open Records Policy Right to Know Request Form | Governor Edward G. Rendell signed the new Right-To-Know law on February 14, 2008 fundamentally changing the way people access public records of their government. This new law, which fully takes effect January 1, 2009 re-defines what is considered public records, as well as making changes to the way documents are requested and the manner in which requests are handled. The links to the left offer information on the law as well as the townships policy and procedures for handling the requests. Requests must be submitted in writing using the form to the left. They may be submitted in person, by mail, fax or email. You will be notified when your request has been approved.
